A man in Long Island led police on a 45-minute high-speed chase at up to 100 mph, driving off a 100-foot cliff into Long Island Sound and survived. The chase began when police responded to a domestic violence call. Despite hitting an embankment, going airborne, and landing in 3 to 5 feet of water, the driver had no visible injuries and complained of pain. Charges against the man were pending.
