RBI allows Sovereign Green Bonds trading at IFSC in Gandhinagar, develops mobile app for Retail Direct portal.
The RBI will allow investment and trading of Sovereign Green Bonds (SGrBs) at the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) in Gandhinagar. Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) registered with SEBI can already invest in SGrBs. The RBI is also developing a mobile app for the Retail Direct portal, which will allow investors to buy and sell government securities on the go, improving retail investors' access to the government securities market.
