Rolls-Royce has commenced flight tests for its latest business aviation engine, the Pearl 10X, for the business aviation market. The engine has been selected by French aircraft manufacturer Dassault to power its new flagship, the Falcon 10X. The flight test programme involves various tests and checks at different speeds and altitudes. The Pearl 10X uses Rolls-Royce's Advance2 engine core and offers a 5% higher efficiency compared to the previous generation, resulting in a market-leading combination of power and efficiency.
