Chinese rocket maker Space Epoch and Alibaba's online shopping platform Taobao are collaborating to develop reusable rockets for global express deliveries within an hour. The project aims to create a 10-ton cargo-carrying rocket using Space Epoch's "Yuanxing-1" rocket, which completed ignition and offshore recovery tests last year. Test deliveries are planned in the near future. The initiative aligns with China's push to expand strategic industries, including the commercial space sector, deemed essential for building satellite constellations for communication, remote sensing, and navigation.
