24-year-old Arthur Te Wera was jailed for raping a teenage girl three times in Auckland. He lured her into his car under the pretense of taking her to the drags, but instead, raped her while his associates filmed the assault. Te Wera expressed shame for his actions but also attempted to blame the teen victim. Judge Ngaroma Tahana rejected his claim of remorse and sentenced him accordingly.
