Chippewa Falls High School custodial staff discovered a small ziploc bag containing a trace amount of white residue and powder in a women's restroom on 27/03/24. School Resource Officer Dan Downey conducted a preliminary test, which presumptively identified the substance as fentanyl. This lethal opiate has been increasingly found in the area, prompting a warning to staff and students to avoid handling unknown powders and call for assistance.
