Scientists are growing crops with salt water that could help save us from starvation.

Ag-tech company SaliCrop develops salt-tolerant crops via saltwater cultivation, addressing a growing issue of salty soils affecting over two billion acres worldwide. SaliCrop's seeds have shown a 10% to 17% increase in crop yields for participating tomato farmers in southern Spain, where severe salinization has occurred due to drought. This non-GMO technology offers a potential solution to the global issue of decreased crop yields in salt-affected soils.
