Former North Dakota state senator Tom Campbell withdrew from the race for the state's single U.S. House seat, citing a desire to avoid negative campaigning and focus on making a difference in a more positive way. Campbell's departure leaves Republicans Rick Becker, Julie Fedorchak, and Alex Balazs, as well as Democrat Trygve Hammer, competing for the seat. The state's U.S. House seat has been held by Republicans since 2011.
