Algeria is sending 150 tonnes of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, where famine is imminent and half of the population faces catastrophic hunger, according to the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification. The aid will be transported by eight military aircraft and is expected to arrive at Al Arish airport in Egypt before being moved to Rafah in southern Gaza.
