CBI, aided by Visakhapatnam Customs, seized a container at Visakhapatnam Port suspected of carrying narcotics under 'Operation Garuda'.
The CBI, with assistance from Customs Department in Visakhapatnam, seized a shipping container at Visakhapatnam Port suspected of carrying narcotics. The container was booked from Santos Port, Brazil, and was declared to contain 25,000 kg of inactive dried yeast. However, preliminary examination revealed narcotics mixed with the inactive dried yeast. CBI acted on input received through Interpol as part of 'Operation Garuda' against organized drug cartels on an international level.
