Woman fatally struck by unknown hit-and-run driver on State Route 905.

A woman was fatally struck by an unknown hit-and-run driver on State Route 905 west, east of Interstate 5, early Saturday. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported the pedestrian was walking within traffic lanes when she was hit. The driver continued westbound on SR-905, and the victim's identity is being withheld pending notification to next of kin. A toxicology report from the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office is pending.
