Pakistan assures IMF no additional budget for Chinese power plant dues, discusses fresh loan.
Pakistan assures the IMF that it will not allocate additional budget to settle USD 1.8 billion dues of Chinese power plants under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. The IMF team is in Pakistan for the final review of a USD 3 billion Standby Agreement before releasing the last tranche of USD 1.1 billion. The government is also discussing a fresh loan to help keep the economy afloat.
