Montreal-based electronic music artist Frederik Durand, known as Snails, won a defamation lawsuit in Alberta, receiving $1.5M after Instagram posts accused him of being a sexual predator. The posts, from a California resident, allegedly harmed Durand's career and income. The judge in the case noted the Instagram account's aim was to "cancel" Durand by tagging his associates.
