Queensland prisoner Vladimir Garcia, serving a life sentence for 2009 murders, is transferred to NSW custody at his request to face a warrant for another death.
Queensland prisoner Vladimir Garcia, serving a life sentence for 2009 murders, has been granted a transfer to custody in New South Wales (NSW) at his request. Garcia is subject to an arrest warrant over the 2009 death of Anthony John Ward, which led to the NSW warrant. However, he will not be charged over Ward's alleged murder unless he is granted parole, which is not likely for at least another 14 years.
