3 people arrested over £76m fraud probe involving UK property developer Carlauren Group, whose 2019 collapse left elderly residents homeless and 600 investors out of pocket.

Fraud investigators have arrested three people as part of a probe into a UK-based property developer, Carlauren Group, whose 2019 collapse left some elderly residents homeless and 600 investors out of pocket. The group, which bought 23 sites across the UK to convert into high-end care homes, allegedly offered investors a 10% return on their money. However, only nine of the properties were ever operational, and the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) is now investigating whether the company may have been involved in a £76m fraud.
