MTA Bridges and Tunnels bans empty tractor-trailers and tandem trucks on NYC bridges from 8am to 10pm due to high wind forecast.

Due to high wind forecast, MTA Bridges and Tunnels will ban empty tractor-trailers and tandem trucks on its seven NYC bridges from 8am to 10pm. The bridges include Bronx-Whitestone, Cross Bay, Henry Hudson, Marine Parkway-Gil Hodges Memorial, Robert F. Kennedy, Throgs Neck, and Verrazzano-Narrows. Pedestrian walkways at Cross Bay Bridge and Marine Parkway-Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge will also be closed during these hours.
