India's diamond exports forecasted to decline 25-30% to $15-16 billion due to decreased demand from US and China.

India's diamond exports are forecasted to decline 25-30% this fiscal year to a multi-year low of USD 15-16 billion due to decreased demand from the US and China. The negative outlook for the cut and polished diamond (CPD) industry, accounting for around 95% of the world's polished diamond production, suggests the exports will remain low in the following fiscal year. The US and China together account for around 65% of India's diamond exports.
