TV producer Chuck Lorre, known for creating 'The Big Bang Theory', has pledged an additional $24.5 million to UCLA. The donation will be used to support low-income students studying STEM subjects, doubling the number of undergraduate scholarship recipients to 80 each year. The gift will also fund the creation of the UCLA Chuck Lorre Scholars Program, offering leadership and wraparound services.
