Referee Paul Tierney, who made an error leading to Liverpool's win at Nottingham Forest, will not referee in the next Premier League round and is assigned to VAR duties.

Referee Paul Tierney, who made a mistake in Liverpool's win at Nottingham Forest, will not referee a game in the next round of Premier League matches. Tierney stopped play for a head injury to Reds defender Ibrahima Konate when Forest had possession in added time and restarted play by giving Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher the ball. The decision did not lead directly to the goal, but Liverpool scored moments later. Tierney has been moved to VAR duties this weekend and will act as the video assistant referee for Arsenal's home game with Brentford.
