HIV/AIDS activist Hydeia Broadbent has passed away.

HIV/AIDS activist Hydeia Broadbent, known for raising awareness about the disease since childhood, has passed away at age 39. Born with HIV and living with AIDS since birth, she made national appearances on shows like The Oprah Winfrey Show and a Nickelodeon special with Magic Johnson to share her story and fight stigma. Broadbent also worked with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Let's Stop HIV Together campaign and established the Hydeia L. Broadbent Foundation.
