Labour plans to close 'loopholes' in the foxhunting ban within its first five years if it wins the general election, according to Shadow Environment Secretary Steve Reed. The party wants to prohibit drag hunting and trail hunting, which allows dogs to follow a pre-laid scent instead of a wild animal. Labour believes that there is "not a majority in any part of the country" that wants to see fox hunting continue.
