Farooq Abdullah, president of India's National Conference party, has responded sharply to claims made by Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) president Ghulam Nabi Azad that Abdullah met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah 'secretly' at night. Abdullah stated that he would meet the Prime Minister or Home Minister during the day if he had to, questioning why Azad was defaming him. Azad claimed that his sources in Delhi informed him that Abdullah tried to meet the central leadership, but only during nighttime.
