Virginia Tech student Johnny Roop, 20, has been reported missing. He was last seen at his apartment complex on Canyon Ridge Road in Montgomery County on February 16. Roop's phone pinged near the New River Valley Mall later that day, indicating he was on his way to take an online exam at his parents' home in Abingdon, Virginia, but never arrived. Roop was driving a black 2018 Toyota Camry (Virginia license plate TXW6643) with a Virginia Tech flag sticker on the back window. The university is urging the entire community to aid in locating Johnny, and anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office at 540-328-4343.
