The US House passes the Quad bill.

The US House of Representatives has passed the Quad bill, instructing the Biden administration to establish a Quad Intra-Parliamentary Working Group to promote closer cooperation between the US, Australia, India, and Japan. With 379 in favor and 39 against, the bill, also known as the "Strengthen US-Australia-India-Japan Cooperation" or Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (Quad), emphasizes the need to strengthen joint cooperation among these countries. The US State Department will be required to submit a strategy to increase engagement and cooperation within 180 days of the bill's enactment.
