A hot air balloon made an unexpected landing in a Canberra suburb on Saturday, February 17th. The balloon came down in a backyard in the suburb of Lyons at around 9:20am. Fortunately, the passengers were able to safely escape the basket without injury. Emergency services attended the scene and there was minor damage reported to three properties. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau is currently investigating the incident. The unusual event stirred quite a reaction in the normally quiet neighborhood.
