Thousands of Audi and Porsche vehicles experience US port delays due to customs issues involving a Chinese-made part violating anti-forced labor laws, with Volkswagen working to replace it and resolving by March end.

Thousands of vehicles from German luxury car brands Audi and Porsche are experiencing delays at U.S. ports due to customs issues involving a Chinese-made part. Volkswagen, the parent company of these brands, is working to resolve the delays by replacing the small electronic component that has allegedly violated US anti-forced labor laws. Models of Porsche, Bentley, and Audi are affected, with delays potentially lasting until the end of March. Volkswagen had not been aware of the origin of the part and was alerted by a supplier, who then informed the U.S. authorities.
