An unidentified man found in the wheel well of a plane at Gatwick Airport died from hypothermia, a coroner has confirmed. The remains of the individual, believed to be in his 20s or 30s, were discovered in the undercarriage of a TUI flight from Banjul, The Gambia, when it landed at the north terminal in December 2022. A post-mortem examination revealed that it was highly likely he died from hypothermia, despite also having an open tibia fracture that did not contribute to his death.
