Rock band Blue Oyster Cult will release their new album 'Ghost Stories' on April 12, marking their first new release in over three years. The album features songs recorded between 1978 and 1983, with one track from 2016. The album was originally recorded on reel-to-reel analog tape and has been transferred to digital audio. A press release mentions the only known recording of their concert cover of "Kick Out the Jams" by MC5 is also included. The album is being produced by George Geranios, Steve Schenck, and Richie Castellano and described as a "fitting finale" to the band's recording legacy. Blue Oyster Cult will also have six tour dates later this year, starting on March 9 in Lincoln City, Oregon.
