Rishabh Pant, recovering from car accident injuries, is confident about playing IPL but uncertain about keeping role, with Warner potentially taking captaincy if Pant cannot play.

Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting has shared that Rishabh Pant is confident about playing in the entire IPL season but may not be able to play the wicketkeeping role due to injuries sustained in a car accident in December 2022. Pant has been undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. If he is unable to play, Australia's veteran batter David Warner will assume the captaincy role.
