Old Dominion's "Can't Break Up Now" duet with Megan Moroney was not the initial plan, as it evolved from Emily Weisband's demo singing on the song.

In a recent interview with ABC Audio, Old Dominion's Matthew Ramsey shared that the duet "Can't Break Up Now," featuring Megan Moroney, wasn't originally intended to be a duet. The change occurred when Emily Weisband, a co-writer on the song who Ramsey describes as "an insane vocalist," sang on the demo version. This led to the idea of trading off vocals and ultimately making the song into a duet, which is currently at #26 on the country charts and can be found on Old Dominion's latest album, Memory Lane.
