Inquest reveals 20-year-old Manly player Keith Titmuss likely died from untreated exertional heatstroke during a training session with high temperature.

An inquest into the death of Manly player Keith Titmuss revealed he likely died from exertional heatstroke after not receiving adequate treatment during a training session. During the session, Titmuss, 20, suffered body cramps and a seizure, with his temperature recorded at 41.9°C. No ice packs were used to treat the heatstroke, and while an autopsy could not confirm the cause of death, it is believed Titmuss suffered from exertional heatstroke. The inquest also highlighted the lack of guidelines and acclimatization measures for athletes in performance settings.
