A Cargolux cargo plane was forced to divert 175 miles from its intended destination, Glasgow Prestwick Airport, due to severe winds with gusts up to 85 mph. The Boeing 747 took off from Luxembourg and attempted to land in Scotland but was unable to do so, eventually landing at Manchester Airport instead. The weather has caused flight disruptions throughout the day, and Scotland is currently under a yellow weather warning for wind.
