Three U.S. troops were killed by Iran-backed militants in Jordan, prompting political pressure on Biden to confront Iran.

Following the deaths of three American soldiers in a drone strike in Jordan by militants with Iranian support, President Joe Biden is under growing political pressure to take direct aim at Iran. Biden's response is speculated to be either a more circumspect retaliatory strike against the terrorists who have Iran's support or a targeted attack against Iranian forces both inside and outside of Iran. Since the Israel-Hamas conflict broke out in October, Iranian-backed forces have launched over 150 attacks against U.S. forces in the Middle East.
