Foreign governments paid the Trump Organization millions of dollars during his administration.

During Donald Trump's presidency, his businesses received at least $7.8 million in payments from the foreign governments and officials of 20 countries, including China, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. The payments were allegedly in violation of the Constitution's foreign emoluments clause, which bars federal officials from accepting money or gifts from foreign governments without permission from Congress. China spent over $5.5 million on Trump properties while he was in office, making it the country that spent the most on these properties.
