Bishop Richard E. Cox, a prominent Dayton activist and social justice leader, has died at age 77. Cox led the Clergy Community Coalition, which successfully campaigned for a tax levy to build a new public hospital in West Dayton. He also co-led the faith-based group Parenthood Ministries with his wife, Apostle Gloria Wright Cox, who confirmed his sudden passing.
