Ontario invests $15M to connect 33,000 residents to primary care by 2027.
The Ontario government is investing nearly $15 million to connect more than 33,000 residents in Elgin, Middlesex, and London counties to primary care, as part of a broader plan to ensure every Ontarian has access to a family doctor by 2029.
Announced by MPP Rob Flack, the funding includes over $10 million for Middlesex and London to support the Thames Valley Family Health Team and more than $4 million for Elgin County to help attach 8,000 people to team-based care.
Officials aim to complete these attachments by May 2027, following a previous $5.3-million investment in the region.
