68-year-old man returns medieval tiles to Shropshire priory after taking them as a child.
A 68-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent returned three medieval floor tiles to Shropshire's Wenlock Priory on Tuesday after taking them as a nine-year-old boy in 1967.
Simon White found the artifacts in a biscuit tin while clearing out his home and, feeling guilty, contacted English Heritage.
The tiles, dating from the late 13th to early 14th century, will be preserved for further study.
