A New York City stylist claims she is the real-life inspiration for Emily Charlton, the character played by Emily Blunt in "The Devil Wears Prada", which is set to return with a sequel. The stylist says she was contacted by Anna Wintour’s office after Lauren Weisberger’s book, which fictionalized life at "Vogue", was published. She expressed feeling betrayed by the portrayal but has not spoken to Weisberger since their time working together ended.
