Michigan DNR officials are investigating the deaths of five bald eagles found in the Garden Peninsula between April 3 and April 17, 2026. The birds did not die from natural causes, predators, or vehicle collisions, leading officials to suspect human involvement. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Report All Poaching Hotline at 800-292-7800 anonymously, as a cash reward may be offered for tips leading to an arrest.
