Dallas Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg was named the 2026 NBA Rookie of the Year on Monday, defeating Charlotte Hornets guard Kon Knueppel in a narrow vote. Selected first overall in the 2025 draft, Flagg averaged 21.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists, becoming the first rookie since Michael Jordan to lead his team in points, rebounds, assists, and steals.
