EU approves €90B interest-free loans to Ukraine for 2026 and 2027.

The European Union has agreed to provide Ukraine with €90 billion in interest-free loans for 2026 and 2027. The plan, which was previously blocked by Hungary, will now proceed after Budapest secured a financial exemption. The loans are backed by the EU budget and are expected to be repaid using frozen Russian assets, which are worth about €210 billion.
