Lufthansa cancels 20k flights to cut costs amid high fuel prices.

Lufthansa announced the cancellation of 20,000 short-haul flights through October to cut costs amid a doubling of jet fuel prices linked to the Iran conflict. The cuts, which began in April, are expected to save over 40,000 tons of fuel and follow the retirement of older aircraft and the shutdown of a regional subsidiary.
