The PGA Tour will not hold events in Hawaii in 2027 for the first time in over five decades. The decision follows the cancellation of The Sentry on Maui due to water restrictions and the restructuring of the Sony Open on Oahu for the Tour Champions circuit. The tour cited a desire to begin the season with a "marquee event at an iconic venue in the west."
