Officer stabbed, suspect arrested after confrontation in Long Beach.

A Long Beach police officer was stabbed multiple times by a suspect wielding a knife during a confrontation on West Broadway Friday afternoon. Four federal air marshals nearby assisted in subduing the suspect, who was arrested and booked on attempted murder charges. The officer was hospitalized but later released.
