New Louisiana museum opens with world's largest Mardi Gras costume collection.
The Mardi Gras Museum of Imperial Calcasieu officially opened in Lake Charles, Louisiana, offering a permanent home for the world’s largest collection of Mardi Gras costumes.
The new 6,000-square-foot facility features interactive exhibits on float-building, local krewes, and Cajun and Creole culture, allowing visitors to try on costumes and experience a simulated parade.
Open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., admission is $15 for adults and $8 for children.
