NI approves £36.4M for heating oil vouchers for low-income households.

Northern Ireland’s Executive has approved an additional £19.2 million in funding to help low-income households with rising heating oil costs. This brings the total support to £36.4 million, which will provide £100 prepaid fuel vouchers to roughly 300,000 eligible households. Eligibility is based on receiving certain benefits, being a state pensioner, or having a household income under £30,000. The vouchers can be used at fuel suppliers.
