The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. when the pedestrian, whose identity remains unknown, exited the grassy median and walked directly into the path of a westbound vehicle. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, and westbound lanes were blocked for approximately three hours while authorities investigated.
