Netflix and Sony release animated Wonka film June 2027.

Netflix and Sony Pictures are releasing a new animated film titled "Charlie vs. the Chocolate Factory" in June 2027. Directed by Jared Stern, the story reimagines Roald Dahl's classic with Taika Waititi voicing Willy Wonka. Set after the original contest, the film follows Wonka's return to his factory and his confrontation with a group of teens, including Charlie Paley, who plan to break in to steal a rare Wonka Bar.
