A severe rainstorm Tuesday caused widespread flooding across Ontario’s Ottawa Valley, damaging roads and railways in North Bay, East Ferris, and surrounding communities. Chippewa Creek overflowed, leading to street flooding and temporary road closures that have since reopened. A 50-foot section of railway track was washed out, though officials expect freight service to resume later in the week.
