Javier Mascherano has stepped down as Inter Miami head coach citing personal reasons, just months after leading the team to its first MLS Cup title. The former Barcelona star, who also guided the club to success in the Club World Cup, expressed gratitude to the organization in a statement. Guillermo Hoyos will serve as interim manager.
